Suzie is a writer who runs her own content curation and copywriting business, Mightier Words, based right here in Porthleven. She regularly takes part in creative writing projects with 26 Writers, working with organisations including the UK Wildlife Trusts and National War Museums. She also runs the Institute of Stories, a literary night held in Porthleven and at local festivals.
Together with her husband, Chris, she is an emerging lino and screen printer. The pair, who print as Kitto and Zu, have sold a number of artworks via the art wall in the Shipyard Market.
Suzie’s alter ego is the Porthleven Mermaid and you may well see her swimming in the harbour throughout arts festival week, as well as with here friends on Mermaid Day – Sunday Sept 25th.
Suzie has set up a temporary studio in the entrance to Porthleven’s iconic Bickford Smith building, perhaps better known as the clocktower (not a church!) for the Festival. She will welcome a number of local artists to join her throughout the week.
