Holly Bendall is a multidisciplinary artist who lives between Cornwall and Dorset. She will give a talk about her work on Mon 26th September at 5:30pm in the Breageside Netloft.
Holly’s work flows between drawing and sculpture, following threads of excitement and curiosity as she navigates life through her practice. Holly’s subtle pencil lines convey so much movement and emotion in such few marks.
Holly’s recent public sculpture Waiting for Fish – also known as ‘Dave & Bird’ beautifully combines art, impact and storytelling. Highlighting the role that small-scale fishing has in supporting local communities and how the fishermen work in tune with the natural rhythms of nature and not against it.
They’re due to be unveiled at their permanent home on the harbour in Porthleven on September 23rd.
